The Numbers Station (2013) Rated R

A disgraced black ops agent is sent to a numbers station to protect a code operator. Starring John Cusack, Malin Akerman, and Liam Cunningham.

I loved this movie more than the other critics have. It’s not really an action film; it’s very much a character piece. The film revolves around John Cusack’s character as he comes to term with his demons. Akerman’s acting wasn’t bad, but the script just didn’t give her much to work with. It’s not the best film; at times it’s a slow build, but the script keeps your attention. It’s a thriller that keeps you on your toes. As I said, it’s not the best film – it won’t win an Academy Award, but it is worth a watch.
