The Smurfs and their human friends join together to rescue Smurfette from Gargamel. Starring Hank Azaria, Neil Patrick Harris, and Brendan Gleeson.
This film is mainly a story to explain how Smurfette came to be. I liked this idea, and it was interesting to see the filmmaker’s take on it. It wasn’t the best film – the first Smurf film was a little better. The story is one that has been told several times with any Smurf story: Gargamel kidnaps a smurf, and the others go to save the one. A story is told along the way, and this time it’s Smurfette’s backstory. There is an underlining story about parenthood, and there’s always a moral to the story. This is a film that’s fun watch, but it really is one that you don’t have to watch – making it not worth a watch.
