Charmed (CW) Rated TV-PG

Three sisters discover they are witches after the death of their mother. Starring Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock, and Sarah Jeffery.

This remake has a good start to the series. There isn’t anything new here; you know the story of three witches answering the call to fight between good and evil. There are three new sisters taking on the call, and the pilot episode sets up the storyline pretty well. It’s an updated version of the series. The show won’t win any awards, but it’s what you expect from a CW reboot. The most disconcerting thing for me is the two sisters who look the most alike – they are too similar, and it’s hard to tell one from the other. I thought they were supposed to be twins until I realized they are played by two different people.  The acting and script are cheesy at times, but it’s a show worth watching if you enjoyed the original.
