Sergeant Preston of the Yukon (CBS) Rated NR

Canadian Mountie Sergeant Preston patrols the Yukon with his horse, Rex, and his dog, Yukon King. Starring Dick Simmons, Yukon King, and Vic Perrin.

This is one of those good old classics where it doesn’t take much to figure out who the bad guys are and how Preston gets them in the end. It’s one of those lost shows that was filmed on a lot, and it shows. Also, the animal talent obviously was not as trained as they are now, which is fun to watch. Simmons, who plays Sergeant Preston, does a fine job at portraying a man who has a mission. It’s a show that is great for kids, and it doesn’t have gratuitous or bloody violence and dirty language. This show is worth a watch.
