The Strain (FX) Rated TV-MA

The CDC (Center for Disease Control) investigates a mysterious outbreak against humanity. Based on the novel trilogy of the same name by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. Starring Corey Stoll, David Bradley, and Kevin Durand.

Having not read the books, I can’t compare the books and the tv show, but I did find this show intriguing. It has potential, but it is poorly written. The acting is a hit or miss with different characters. The characters can be quite idiotic – that’s in both acting and script. The show just brings out the clichés of horror. Although I have to say, it did have the horror aspect down to the point, so I’ll say this show is worth a watch.
