Old Fashioned: The Story of the Wisconsin Supper Club (2015) Rated NR

Supper Clubs were trendy in the 40s and 50s, where people could meet and mingle with food and drinks. Starring Terese Allen, Brenda Bredahl, and Jim Draeger.

Supper Clubs hit their highlight in the 40s and 50s, but their staying power has lasted in Wisconsin. I have to say that I love supper clubs. It’s true that they are a great place to have great home-cooked meals, reasonably priced, and where you can meet people and enjoy some cocktails with music. This documentary tells the story of Supper Clubs. They talk about what attracts people to them even today. I really get sad when a supper club closes. It’s an end to an era. This documentary brilliantly showcases the restaurants. This is worth a watch.
