There’s No Business Like Show Business (1954) Rated NR

The Donahues have three children, and they perform together as the Five Donahues until their oldest meets a girl. Starring Ethel Merman, Donald O’Connor, and Marilyn Monroe.

This film showcases the music of Irving Berlin. It follows the Donahues from the start of their vaudeville act and having children through the years as the children grow and their popularity wanes and changes. This is a great showcase of what it is like to be a showbiz family as it presents the highs and lows of working together in a popularity business. The film has it’s downsides, but overall, it is still enjoyable to watch, making it worth a watch.
