Code 8 (2019) Rated NR

A super-powered construction worker falls into the wrong crowd in order to save his mother. Starring Stephen Amell, Greg Bryk, and Robbie Amell.

There isn’t much to this film. It’s a story that you’ve seen before. It’s a futuristic sci-fi story about humans that have super powers. One super-powered human gets into the wrong crowd in order to save his dying mother. There is nothing redemptive here.  There isn’t any depth to the story or characters. The actors, on the other hand, weren’t too bad with what they had to work with. It seems like a poor relation to X-Men franchise. This film isn’t worth a watch.
