Love’s Abiding Joy (2006) Rated PG

Missie and Willie Lahaye move west and settle, but still, hardships continue as Missie wants to teach and Willie attends to their young daughter. Life and death happen as they both try to survive the harsh reality of the west. Based on the book by Janette Oke. Starring Erin Cottrell, Dale Midkiff, and Logan Bartholomew.

It is not surprising that this film series doesn’t always follow the book series. The actors changed, which doesn’t always bode well for a series. The film is still good and very family orientated. However, there are some parts that could have been better. The editing was poorly done, and you have a hard time during some scenes for the context. Although it’s not the best film, it was still enjoyable and worth a watch.
