The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013) Rated PG-13

Clary Fray learns that she comes from a line of warriors who protect the world from demons. She joins forces with people like her and heads to a land called Shadow World. Based on the book series by Cassandra Clare. Starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Kevin Zegers.

This is a story within a story of a mystical world. The film is a mix-match and doesn’t follow the book very well. It’s a reminiscent of all the other teen films out there about a mystical world. It’s interesting, but the storyline is confusing. The film doesn’t make much sense. It’s almost like they didn’t have a specific direction for the film, and it’s all over the place. A lot of the scenes just don’t make sense. This is a film that is not worth a watch.
