The Atlanta Child Murders (ID) Rated TV-14

Between 1979 and 1981, 29 African American children went missing and were found dead in Atlanta. Starring Dion Graham, Echefulam Madubuike, and Campbell Cox.

This miniseries is well done. We have interviews with family members, police officers, and the press. They do bring up the race issues that are elevated in the South. They also comment that the police waiting 24 hours before looking for their child is a race issue. However, that is a common issue with police regardless of race. Although, with the heightened panic that the community had back then, I understand the families’ anxiety over each child. They needed evidence before making an arrest, and they have new evidence. Since the cases are reopened, it’ll be interesting to see what comes from the new evidence. This is worth a watch.
