This film is a remake of a remake (2004) of the original 2002 Japanese film. However, I enjoyed it for what it was. Basically, it’s the story of Ju-on, where death causes the spirit to exact revenge on the people entering the house. It’s not a true horror film, which is one reason I liked it. It’s more of a psychological thriller. It takes you on a journey, and while it doesn’t have the best at storytelling, it does follow the same formula as the other Grudge films. It doesn’t bring anything new to the franchise, but I thought it was a nice addition to the Grudge family. It’s worth a watch.
