Bloodline (Netflix) Rated TV-MA

A family must come to terms with their secrets and scars when the oldest son comes home. Starring Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini, and Norbert Leo Butz.

The first episode has good writing; it’s a thriller where you have no idea what is coming or what is going to happen. You know that all these characters have a past together, but what is that past? It pulls you in. It’s not perfect – there are some continuity issues that don’t allow for smooth transitions. The story jumps around, and it’s a struggle to figure out where you are in the story and who knows what. The actors, for the most part, are excellent, but again, there are a couple of scenes that just seem wooden. However, all of these imperfections make the show all the more intriguing, making the show worth a watch.
