Big Fish (2003) Rated PG-13

A son tries to sort facts from fiction about his father’s life. Starring Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, and Billy Crudup.

This is a brilliant film about a father and son’s relationship. Will Bloom heads home to see his dad as his father is dying. All his life, Will’s father has told fantastical stories, where Will doesn’t know what was truth and which was fiction. As he reconnects with his father, he learns who his father is. It’s a heartwarming adventure. The film is a brilliant story with great character development. The story takes you on a road of emotions. The art direction is striking with the brilliance of color throughout the scenes and settings. I would say this is the best Tim Burton film I have ever seen. It’s worth a watch.
