No Man of God (2021) Rated NR

The film takes us into the relationship between FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier and serial killer Ted Bundy during his final years on death row. Starring Elijah Wood, Luke Kirby, and Aleksa Palladino.

I was hoping for more insight into Bundy or maybe more of the human side of who he was. This film lacks depth in regard to the relationship between the two. They tried, but throughout the film, I wondered at why Bundy liked Hagmaier and what Hagmaier was really after with the talks. There were also issues with the timeline; the viewer has no idea how much time has passed between interviews. Then you have Kirby, who does look a lot like Bundy, but I felt, at times, he was imitating the videos of Bundy. He didn’t really bring the facet of Bundy to life.  If the focus had been more on Hagmaier, as the film seemed to want to go, I  think it would have been more interesting, but the film, overall, didn’t give us any insight into either man, leaving it lacking. This film is not worth a watch.
