Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015) Rated PG-13

A new threat to the galaxy has risen. Rey and a former stormtrooper team with Han Solo and Chewbacca to restore peace in the galaxy. Starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher.

This new Star Wars film is reminiscent of the original trilogy. There are things the filmmakers pay homage to and others that they reuse. The film does a wonderful job at introducing new and old characters into this new trilogy. The story is good and leaves us with plenty of questions to be answered in the later films. This installment updates the characters’ stories, making them more modern. Also, the chemistry between characters is there. This film doesn’t have the magic of the original, but it does have the nostalgia. There are some plot holes, but we can hold out hope that they would be fixed in the additional films. With all the negatives and positives, this film is worth a watch.
