Hillary (PBS) Rated NR

The biography of Sir Edmund Hillary, who grew up in a strict family but set his own path to climb mountains. Starring Andrew Munro, Dean O’Gorman, and Amy Usherwood.

The first episode is confusing as it jumps around the timeframe of Hillary’s life. We see his life growing up in a strict family and his push to make a life of his own. The pacing is rather fast, and with the jumps in time, the story comes off as confusing. However, once the story unfolds in the following episodes, the life of Hillary comes into focus and you can enjoy seeing the man for who he is. Munro is brilliant as the determined but shy young man that wants to have the thing he loves – and that is an adventure. This show is one that’s worth a watch.
