School Ties (1992) Rated PG-13

A star quarterback is given the opportunity to attend a prep school where he has to hide his Jewish heritage. Starring Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, and Chris O’Donnell.

This film seems to struggle with its own identity, and so does every character in the film. It’s pacing is a little on the slow side, and there tends to be moments that don’t need to happen in order to tell the story. At the same time, there are points that are not taken that could have been told. There are subplots during the movie that don’t get a good resolve. The film has a cast full of who’s who in young Hollywood, but with the poor execution of story, this film is not worth a watch.
