Eat, Play, Love (2017) Rated TV-G

A veterinarian falls for the owner of the dog shelter she frequently visits. Starring Jen Lilley, Jason Cermak, and Lee Majors.

This is one of the cheesiest films from Hallmark. The story is one of the worst, and the acting isn’t any better. It’s unrealistic in every way. We have a reacquaintance between high school sweethearts and one is engaged to be married. The story moves fast, and the chemistry is hard to believe as there is little romance between them until he realizes that she is the girl for him. Cermak is great as the boy next door and even does a good job portraying that he cares for her, but Lilley responds like a high schooler, not a grown woman loving the man that got away. Mostly, the script comes across as unrealistic with all the matchmaking and innuendos the film is littered with. Saying all that, I did enjoy the film. I’m a sucker for a good romance, and while this isn’t the best, it still has everything a romance film needs. Thus, it is worth a watch.
