The World’s Fastest Indian (2005) Rated PG-13

The story of Burt Munro, who broke the world record of land speed at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967 while riding an Indian Motorcycle. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Iain Rea, and Tessa Mitchell.

This film is a basic documentary of the life of Munro. It’s a simple story as it follows Munro and his dream to defy the odds and set the world record. The film knows its focus is on Munro and his Indian; although, it doesn’t focus enough on the Indian to give us a sense of how he was able to break the record. They did try to create the feeling that the unexpected could still win the race, but that was lost in the slow telling of Munro chasing a dream. The film is a sleepy little tale of a major feat, making it worth a watch.
