Jack Frost (1979) Rated TV-G

The Groundhog tells the story of Jack Frost. Starring Buddy Hackett, Robert Morse, and Paul Frees.

This is not one of the most famous Rankin/Bass films. While it is very typical of Rankin/Bass films, it’s not exactly a holiday film. It tells the romantic story of how Jack Frost became human in order to  marry his love. There are drawbacks to the film, and some of the voice acting doesn’t match the characters. Although the songs are cute, they are very cheesy. The animation is top notch; I don’t think stop-motion could be any better than Rankin/Bass. This film is still worth the watch.
