Arrival (2016) Rated PG-13

After aliens have arrived on Earth, a linguist works with the military in order to learn to communicate with them. Starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker.

This film has a brilliant script and story that folds together to make a new kind of alien movie. This film surprises you with what unfolds, but it also has a continuity problem. I think a lot of people struggle with the concept of the film and its hidden meaning. It’s almost like a rosebud moment but of course, the film is no cinematic historical masterpiece. It’s not perfect in the pacing or the continuity. However, it does take you on a trip and makes you wonder what you just watched. It’s worth the watch.
