The true story of the Jesus Revolution in the early 1970s that started in a community of hippies in South California. Starring Joel Courtney, Jonathan Roumie, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
I thought this might be another cheesy Christian film. The Erwins know how to do Christian films and do them right. This is no expectations. This is one of the rose-colored histories, meaning they take the more positive notes of history and showcase them. While these leaders are Christians, they had their share of crosses before they were saved and after. We all are sinful. This film does a wonderful job at making sure that these men are not perfect but work for a perfect God. This film does a wonderful job at showcasing that this is the Lord’s work. It’s a great film that brings light to the revival that happened in the 70s. The film doesn’t lose its focus on God even when egos get the better. This is a film that is worth the watch.
