A coming of age show about a girl who finds her family isn’t exactly who she believed them to be. Starring Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Joshua Rush, and Sofia Wylie.
I thought this show was brilliantly written. Andi finds out that who she thought was her sister is really her mother. It starts as she tries to figure out who she is. She has questions that are typical of teenagers, especially since her world is upside down. Now, the show doesn’t go deep into the psychology of her life as it changes. What bothers me are the non-gender characters. The show doesn’t want to be black and white, which most shows tend to be in order to broaden the audience. It also has a main character that is gay, and in this time, most kids have a gay friend. What makes this show great is the writing and how it’s quintessential Disney Teens, thus it’s worth the watch.
