This film tells of the Chinese women’s life, especially today as it is hard trying to honor their historical traditions as a modern woman. It touches on the past, looking at historical oppression of women, and also looks at the modern woman pulling weight. There are things that just don’t work or are not right for the modern world.  Still, they have to fight for what they want in the world. Thus, the language gives them hope. This film does a brilliant job at showing the line and seeing it come into place. Thus, it’s worth a watch.
