A story of two farm hands, as one looks after his mentality disabled friend. Based on the book by John Steinbeck. Starring John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, and Ray Walston.
I thought this was a brilliant interpretation of John Steinbeck’s book. The characters are portrayed brilliantly by Malkovich, as the mentality disabled Lenny, and Sinise, as the conflicted friend George. George struggles with the care of Lenny. The film covers the voice of Steinbeck and the struggles of George as a caretaker of a man on the verge of violence. This story brings to life the dreams that Americans have for their futures. The characters are brilliantly acted, the story comes to life from Steinbeck’s book, and the cinematography is beautiful. This is a film worth a watch.
