Holy Ghost (2014) Rated NR

A documentary that is led by the Holy Spirit to find God moving in the world today. Starring Meredith Andrews, Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu, and Heidi Baker.

There are positives and negatives to this film. The positives are good for Christians watching this film. It does a wonderful job promoting the Holy Spirit’s work in the world. It also showcases the work of the Lord in people’s lives. I loved seeing the Lord work. While that is wonderful to watch and to see happen, the film doesn’t give a good representation of Who God is and Who the Holy Spirit is. Granted, there are a number of different faiths portrayed in the film, so the Biblically sound doctrine is lost in the story. You also have the sinful life of the Darren Wilson that comes into play with making of the film. That, I think, comes from the synopsis mentioning that the Holy Spirit was directing the film. In reality, it was probably more so Wilson with the Holy Spirit prompting him. That’s the reality even though they want you to believe it was totally the Holy Spirit. So, there are things in the film that would be hard for non-Christians to follow or believe. That’s because they do not have the Holy Spirit working in them or for them. This is a wonderful film for Christians, making it worth the watch.
