A teenage girl dreams of becoming a horse jumper at the fair. Based on a true story. Starring Gabrielle Anwar, Michael Schoeffling, and Cliff Robertson.
This was one of my favorite films as a child. The story revolves around a childhood dream and the girl who makes it happen against all odds. It’s perfect for a family film as it doesn’t have much violence or bad language. The focus of the film is the adventurous side of horse jumping and the girl who works hard to make her dreams happen. It’s based on the true story of the first woman that performed horse jumping. It was never dangerous for the horse, but for the humans it was. The actors are perfect for their roles. All around, it is a pleasant film and just a joy to watch. There’s nothing to make it stand out and nothing to make it a bad film. It’s one that is worth the watch.
