The Hillside Strangler (MGM+) Rated NR

Follows the case of two serial killers in Los Angeles during the 1970s. Starring Kenneth Bianchi, Frank Salerno

I really wished this documentary was better than it was, especially considering who produced the series. It had the cheaply made feel. It did not pull me in or make me wonder if the men were or weren’t the killers. It also struggled with following a timeline of events, which made it hard to keep us in the “who done it?” mode. While we know, of course, who done it, it still lacks the suspense of the question. The show also didn’t bring us into the lives of Bianchi and Salerno. They had a couple of interviews with those who knew them at the time of the murders but not much into the historical lives of the cousins. There’s more to the story that was brushed over. This show is not worth the watch.
