A young Mariah Carey wishes for a dog for Christmas. Starring Mariah Carey, Breanna Yde, and Henry Winkler.
I know it seems like this film is narcissistic, but if you look past that it revolves around Carey, it’s a child’s story about wanting something the parents think is too much for them to have. For Carey, it is a dog, but at some point, every child wants something as much as Carey does in the film. She tells the story as she remembers it, and you can actually see how much she wants the dog, begging for it and trying to convince her parents that she will take care of it. The story includes Mariah’s song, of course, and the narration isn’t overpowering. The film blends animation, a relatable story, and charming characters into a wonderful tale. It teaches a lesson and entertains at the same time. It’s a story worth a watch.
