This is about as frightening as the Toy Story franchise gets. When a villain steals the toys, Jessie sets out to rescue them and must confront her claustrophobia. She takes the lead in this story, and although she can be irritating, her prominence offers a refreshing change from the franchise’s usual male focus. The film is less humorous than its predecessors, leaning instead into a kid-friendly horror tone. While the premise is not especially original, the story is well written and makes an enjoyable Halloween watch for children. It’s worth a watch.
