Frankenstein (1931)

Rated NR

To me and many others this is a true Frankenstein story. The film was based on the play by  Peggy Webling  which in turn was based on the novel by Mary Shelley. The film doesn’t follow the book very much but that doesn’t distract from the wonderful story James Whale weaved. Frankenstein was before production code of 1934 which removed some controversial scenes and lines. In 1999 all the scenes and lines was reinstated. Making this one of the best films of all time and it is.
