Arthur (2011)

Rated PG-13

Arthur is the remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore film about a womanizer who must choose between love or money.

I was pleasantly surprised with Russell Brand’s performance as the womanizer. He didn’t become overly quirky or flamboyant for the role. Even with that this film doesn’t hold a candle to the 1981 version. It didn’t leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling or wanting for more. It was just kinda bland. Nothing at all palatable. Oh, and Jennifer Garner’s performance did not need to be seen. I don’t even know why she was even in the film. She’ll be up for a Razzie. I have a very even  impression about this film. I can’t recommend the film or tell you to not see it.
