The Misfits (1961)

Rated NR

A trio ban together to sell wild mustangs for dog food. The leader’s girlfriend finds out and objects to the plan. The movie tells the change of the Old West.

This film is most famously known for the deaths of the two main actors-Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe-after the movie was shot. Gable died ten days after the last day of shooting and Monroe died within the year. Beyond those famous headlines, this film had the most wonderful script. I have never thought of Marilyn Monroe as a terrific actor but in this movie she was fantastic. Gable preformed his usual flare. The script gives us insight to the death of the Old West as well as a character study between the people.  Another film to not miss.
