An Elf’s Story: The Elf on the Shelf (2011) Rated NR

An elf tries to help a boy believe in the Christmas magic. Starring Leslie Bellair, Brendan Dooling, and Evie Eikhoff.

I have yet to figure out the obsession with the Elf on the Shelf. It’s just one more thing that parents have to deal with during the holiday season, and it’s one more thing that consumers have to spend money on. However, I get the cute short story about an elf who goes down to a boy’s home to help him still believe in the holiday spirit and Santa Claus. It’s very much a marketing ploy. It’s a cute holiday story that would be fun to watch every season, but as it’s dealing with the elf coming to visit children every day and making a mess, it’s not worth it. It’s one that’s not worth a watch.
