Mildred Pierce (1945)

Rated NR

Police investigate restaurateur Mildred Pierce upon her second husband’s death. Will Mildred’s love for her daughter cause her to tell the truth or cover up what really happened?

I loved this movie. It’s shows how much a mother could have rose tinted glasses. Joan Crawford was perfect for the role as the mother. She was strong female as well as weak for her daughter. I wanted to scream at her–tough love. It was well worth the Oscar she won. It’s a film noir with great cinematography. It’s worth a watch.
