When an unexpected tragedy struck a novelist’s family. He will have to face his relationship with both his mother and father. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Julia Roberts, Ioan Gruffudd, Hayden Panettiere
This film isn’t the best. With the star-studded cast, I would have thought it would have been better done. The writing and directing lack to the point of wishing I wasn’t watching. Out of all the characters I couldn’t figure out who I was supposed to be pulling for and who I felt sorry for. I believe that was what the director was going for but it made it too confusing to watch and made it hard to care about any of the characters. Saying all that, I did think that he covered what children remember and what adults remember about memories usually don’t coincide. Which is brilliant but having not a care for any of the characters made me dislike the film. I would not watch this film but I wouldn’t watch this if I could have watched something else.
