Drive (2011)

Rated R

A Hollywood stunt driver by day and a getaway driver by night is the unnamed character played by Ryan Gosling. The driver finds himself in trouble when he decides to help out a neighbor. Starring Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks, Oscar Isaac, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, Russ Tamblyn

This is a stunning film that combines both blockbuster action and art house conventions. Director Nicolas Winding Refn does a phenomenal job weaving the two together for a well thought out action flick. This isn’t just an action film. Gosling played the driver as a complicated man who doesn’t speak much but says a lot. By the way, this is no Fast and the Furious film, it’s a unique film worthy of a watch.

I agree. ‘Drive’ was absolutely fantastic, with Ryan Gosling being the standout of the film. He really is one of the best actors of his generation. Like you said, ‘Drive’ is a mixture of action and art-house, and it really works! Good review 😀
