Karl Pilkington has no wish to travel the world but Gervais and Merchant send him anyway. This show is hilarious because Gervais and Merchant seem to pick on Pilkington with each stop. They both know what to do to make Pilkington frustrated and uncomfortable. The more uncomfortable, the more hilarious it is. I’m surprised that Karl continues to sign on for two more series and that he still remains friends with Gervais. I think it must be a paycheck. I think at times Karl’s anxiety was normal and yet they think it’s funny. I love Gervais but I really question his picking on Pilkington.
