A girl after World War II joins the local theater company and learns more about love and life than the theater. Starring Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Georgina Cates, Peter Firth

This film is a turning of age film and Georgina Cates does a wonderful performances as a twenty year old playing a sixteen year old.  Alan Rickman plays a disillusioned actor that has a connection with Cates’ character. His character gets involved with hers even though he is unsure  if it good. It’s a very subtle film that takes time to unwrap the story as it goes along. The actors were great with their characters but the story was a little confused on the twist on that was subtly told. It’s worth a watch.
