Wake Island (1942) Rated NR

Wake IslandWake Island tells the story of the military garrison on Wake Island after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Starring Brian Donlevy, Macdonald Carey, Robert Preston

This is a story that gets lost in the Pearl Harbor attack. Right after the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor, they attack Wake Island. Wake Island is a small island between Japan and Hawaii. This film starts before Pearl Harbor, when the morale of the men are low and we watch as they step up to the plate to get their jobs done. I wouldn’t say this is one of the best war films but it’s definitely not the worst.
