Sun Valley Serenade (1941) Rated NR

Sun Valley SerenadeA band leader sponsors a Norwegian refugee just as he’s taken a job at a ski resort. Starring Sonja Henie, John Payne, Glenn Miller, Milton Berle, Joan Davis

This film stars Sonja Henie, who was an Olympic champion in figure skating. Thus, the film was made when Hollywood used Olympic champion’s to their best in the films. The film shows off Henie’s abilities and she wasn’t too bad of an actress against John Payne’s character. This film not only showcases Henie’s talent but also gives The Glenn Miller Orchestra their first movie to show their talents as well. Combine the two, with a cute romantic story and this film is a sit back with popcorn and enjoy.
