Wolf Hall (BBC) Rated PG-13

Wolf HallBased on two books by Hilary Mantel, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies. It’s 1500 England where we see the rise of Thomas Cromwell during King Henry VIII’s reign. Starring Mark Rylance, Damian Lewis, Claire Foy, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Joss Porter, Bernard Hill, Hannah Steele, Jessica Raine, Edward Holcroft, Joel MacCormack, Tom Holland

This is a typical BBC series, they do great at costumes and cinematography but this series falls short historically. It took me a few minutes to figure out who each character was and their relationship to everyone else. I did feel that it was a slow tedious run through of a story that we all know. Even with the great actors this show was long to watch. I kept hoping that they would move along to the interesting parts of the story. Which with the first hour didn’t even get to the point other than Henry wants to get rid of his wife, Katherine of Aragon. And we already know  that he does. Wasted hour. This show is one that you don’t need to see.
