The single parents of two middle-aged men still living at home marry. Now the “boys” must learn to get along with each other. Starring Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Mary Steenburgen, Richard Jenkins, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn.
Why in the world would I want to watch two, grown men fight with each other like teenagers? Add in a plethora of sexual jokes and prepubescent behavior, and this movie is a complete waste of time. I guess it got a little better, once the boys decided to make something of themselves, but the overall view of productive people in this film is that they are the idiots. This made no sense to me whatsoever and did not strike me as funny at all. Finally, there is no reason to highlight that Steenburgen’s character become a mom at 14 years old. At least Jenkins’ character made it to adulthood at 18 years old before having his son. There is so little to redeem this movie that I can’t believe I watched the whole thing. It is a pass.
