When a Broadway director gets fired for the fourth time, she must take a job directing a community Christmas pageant. Starring Melissa Gilbert, Robert Mailhouse, Candice Azzara, Edward Herrmann, Kate Flannery.
This is not your typical romantic holiday film. It’s actually quite realistic. A woman who has lost her love for directing goes to a small town where she rediscovers what is important in life. The actors really make this film. Gilbert plays the disillusioned director perfectly, and Mailhouse is a great counterpart as the man who brings her to town for their small-town Christmas pageant. The supporting cast is exceptional, as well. This film is worth a watch this holiday season.
