Anne of the Indies (1951) Rated NR

anne-of-the-indiesA former pirate  agrees to spy on Blackbeard and Anne Providence to get his ship back from the British. Starring Jean Peters, Louis Jourdan, Debra Paget, Thomas Gomez.

This film is a diamond in the rough. It has its weak moments, but I really enjoyed the story and the action. I also thought all the actors did a fantastic job. It is a fictional story loosely based on the life of real female pirate Anne Bonny. Although it is not perfect, I liked it enough that I’m going to add to my collection. It’s definitely worth a watch.
