To Rome With Love (2012) Rated R

to-rome-with-loveThe lives of visitors and residents of Rome collide together. Starring Judy Davis, Flavio Parenti, Roberto Benigni, Alison Pill, Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig, Penélope Cruz.

This film was a disappointment. It was poorly written and directed. Baldwin’s character was confusing, and Eisenberg’s character’s imagination didn’t help to clear anything up.  How and why are the other characters’ interacting with an imagination?  It was hard to grasp the difference between reality and the imagination of his character. The film lacked flow and purpose. Woody Allen’s films are a hit or a miss and this film is definitely a miss. It’s a pass.
