Celeste and Jesse Forever (2012) Rated R

celeste-and-jesse-foreverA divorcing couple tries to stay friends while dating other people. Starring Rashida Jones, Andy Samberg, Ari Graynor, Eric Christian Olsen, Elijah Wood, Will McCormack, Chris Messina

This is great story about friends who were married and going through a divorce and trying to move on. The film is brilliantly written with the struggles of letting go of the love and life you used to have when you are with someone. What I struggled with is why this couple who obviously still love and care about each work out their issues. In fact the reason behind the chose to move on wasn’t a valid chose in my option.  She thought he was to much of child and he didn’t want to change who he is. I’m sorry your married make the marriage work. That is one of the reasons this film doesn’t impress me much. It’s written well but it doesn’t make sense that they wouldn’t work through their issues. This film is still worth a watch.
