The biblical story of Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. Starring Ben Kingsley, Paul Mercurio, Martin Landau, Lesley Ann Warren, Monica Bellucci.
Both historically accurate and entertaining, I thoroughly enjoyed this version of the story of Joseph. The star-studded cast brings this story to life. Mercurio was perfect as Joseph; I could really connect into his experience of being betrayed and seeing how his faith sustained him throughout his life. Kingsley also brings a depth to Potiphar’s character which I have not seen from other performances. The cinematography is stunning, making black and white words come to life in great detail. This is a movie worth a watch.
