The Invisible War (2012) Rated NR

invisible-warA documentary that investigates the rape cases of soldiers in the US Military.  Starring Amy Ziering, Kirby Dick, Kori Cioca.

This film covers a handful of sexual assault cases. The victims talk about joining the service, their lives prior to the assault, the assault itself, and the aftermath of the assault. The film does a good job of bringing forth the issues with the military toward the assault cases. This documentary is one of the rare cases when a film actually inspires action against the problem.  Two days after watching the film, Secretary Panetta issued an order that all sexual assault cases must be reviewed by a Colonels or higher ranking officer. This is a problem needs to be addressed and resolved.  No one in our country should be above the law, including our military. This film is worth a watch.
